Hello to people finding me through Twitter!
If you’ve come to this page, you’ve probably clicked the link from my Twitter account. Welcome!
Things which I like and tend to talk about a lot:
I’m interested in a lot of things: architecture, urban regeneration, excitement and opportunities in Brighton, books, libraries, poems and performance poetry, publishing, writing for the web, revealing interviews with interesting people, silver foxes, journalism, internships, feminism, creativity, craft, photography, performance art, snippets from museums and galleries who are on Twitter, music, contemporary dance, comedy, theatre, films, fashion, experimental cookery, social history, other cultures around the world, website design and UX. I have a soft spot for silver foxes, unusual beards, and the occasional adorable fluffy animal.
How I use Twitter:
I use Twitter to share links I think are interesting from RSS feeds I subscribe to, articles I’ve written that are available online, information related to my work on the Museums at Night campaign for Culture24, and, occasionally, my thoughts and opinions. I’ll retweet things that I think are important, or witty, or both. I also exchange @replies with friends and acquaintances, but not to the exclusion of everything else.
My following policy:
I can’t follow everyone who follows me, and still maintain a reasonable signal-to-noise ratio – so please don’t be insulted if, after looking at your latest tweets, I decide that what you generally talk about doesn’t match my interests. If you follow me, do send me an @ message to say hello and introduce yourself – it’s a great way of making connections!
Disclaimer:
My Twitter account, like this blog, reflects my own views and not those of my employers. You can follow them directly (@Culture24) for lots of interesting news and features about art, history and heritage, science and nature etc.
