About Me

I’m a friendly person who likes writing, taking photos, baking cupcakes, belly dancing and meeting new people. I like learning about architecture, interesting books, creative films, social history, and generally anything you find fascinating enough to enthuse about!
Professionally, I’m lucky enough to work for Culture24, who publish websites to do with museums, galleries, libraries, archives and heritage sites. However, all views expressed here are my own opinions and do not represent those of my employer. Before getting this job, I worked in libraries, for the NHS, and in publishing. I’ve also had hundreds of random jobs along the way to fund my travels. The last year has been a total immersion in all things webby – I love it, but there’s always more to learn!
I’ve lived in the funky, creative seaside city of Brighton since the end of October 2008, although I’m originally from St Albans, a small city just north of London that dates back to Roman times and has a lot of pubs. I’ve also lived in the US, New Zealand and Australia, and travelled all over the world. The more places I see, though, the more I want to see…
